Joint Entrance Examination (JEE MAIN) is an engineering entrance exam conducted across India. JEE Main registration process
The application form is released online on the official site where. Once it is out, you have to fill in all the details like no other mode of application is there. Check out the eligibility criteria that you have to fulfill before you start applying. Have a scanned signature and image as you will require to include all those things on the form. Provide contact details, academic and personal information, and pay the fee through your net banking or debit or credit card. Ensure to save the acknowledge slip for future references. Failing to fill in the application form or clearing fee, you will not be allowed to appear for the exam, so apply first.
The mode of exam
Before, the JEE Main exam for BTECH in India was conducted offline, but from the 2018-19 session, it takes place through the computer-based mode. The NTA alots the slots, and the exam is conducted twice a year, April and January. Practice as much as you can to secure a good mark to secure a position in the college.
The number of papers in JEE Main
Two papers are there in JEE MAIN Paper I and Paper II. The B.Tech applicants must opt for Paper I and B.Arch, which is Paper II. In Paper I, five numerical and 20 numerical questions are there. The questions are asked from every section of Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. Paper II (B.Plan and B.Arch) comes with 100 and 77 questions from aptitude and mathematics. For B.Arch, two subjective drawing questions are also there. Paper II can be both Pen and Paper Based and Computer Based, while Paper I is entirely Computer Based.
Aadhaar card: Needed or not?
The authorities of NTA have announced that there is no need for an Aadhaar card while you go through the registration process. It can be done through any government identity, like a Driving License, Passport, Ration Card, Voter ID, and more.
To apply for the test, you must have qualified the 12th standard with Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. For getting admission in IIITs, NITs, and CFTIs, a minimum score of 75% is required, while 65% for SC/ST. For B.Arch and B.Plan or JEE Main Paper II, scoring 50% would be enough.
